2008-04-16 [inserting name here]: Obviously it won't be posted yet if we're in April, duh.

2008-04-17 [BinaryPhoenix]: I know, I just thought that maybe someone had the bright idea that if they open the contest early enough, there'll be more entries, also, everyone will have more than enough time to start and finish their entries and enter on time. ^__^

But that's just me, being silly I guess. :P

2008-04-18 [Linderel]: It isn't, but opening a Halloween contest in April would be a bit of overkill, don't you think?

2008-04-18 [stuffAEAmade]: Then what if we tried earlier in September?

2008-04-19 [Linderel]: Yes, well. Drawing from memory, all the holiday contests have been cut a little bit too close for my tastes. It would be better to open them perhaps a month and a half (instead of a mere month, usually in fact less) before the deadline, and move the deadline backwards.

2008-04-19 [stuffAEAmade]: I think that's a good idea. Then the Mainstreet polls could be up longer too.

2008-04-19 [Linderel]: My point exactly. That, and there would not be such a bleeding hurry with the crew polls.

2008-04-19 [Alexi Ice]: I don’t really mean to disagree, but I thought the contests were made to test our skills? I could write a poem for anything in a few months I thought the point was to see what we could do under a little standardized contest pressure? I think the rush is fun, and if it ran longer it wouldn’t be challenging in the slightest...and if were gonna do that we might as well just submit to the daily poem...

2008-04-19 [Linderel]: A month and a half goes by surprisingly fast, you know. And it's not only about the poetry, it's about the art, too - and in my limited experience, drawing takes longer.

2008-04-19 [Alexi Ice]: Sorry, I dont know much about that category and yeah I can understand the art, even though I dont draw I have seen the process a few times. I just don't like to wait so long for the results you know (even though I never win these things) Its still pretty long to wait. ..

2008-09-26 [Tingis]: Can I enter the same poem as in the magic contest?:3

2008-09-26 [Lothuriel]: No.

2008-09-26 [Tingis]: .> It was just a question?

2008-09-26 [Jitter]: Ah don't take it as an agressive reply, I'm sure Loth didn't mean it like that but being so busy as she is sometimes she can only afford so short messages ^^ *pats*

2008-09-26 [Alexi Ice]: Lol.

2008-09-26 [Lothuriel]: [Tingis], It was a simple reply yes, a rude reply not. <img:stuff/cheshmak.gif>

2008-09-27 [Tingis]: Okay! :D thank you

2008-09-30 [Tingis]: I've got one ready :D just going to let it correct for english mistakes ^^

2008-10-03 [Leb]: Is there a reason that the winners from last year aren't posted on here like the ones in the art and costume section are? I'm thinking it has to do with the fact it was a different theme last year poetry wise, while the art and costume section stays the same...

2008-10-03 [Lothuriel]: No it was probably overlooked by the lady who did them all. She went back through a lot of contests and worked very hard...so, I haven't complained <img:stuff/cheshmak.gif>

2008-10-03 [Jitter]: Actually it gets quite crammed if we add writing winners as well. I think that's why they're not here but they can always be seen at official competition winners gallery
